Ok, I shall setup another computer next to the front door. I only have one working socket, I have another in the living room which is not working for reasons unknown.
could that socket have a wire loose and cause a problem as there is certainly something killing your broadband
Ok, I have setup another computer next to the socket connected via cable, no improvement.
I also took of the full cover to show the wires. as you can see in the image two wires are not conntected to anything - is this normal?
Going to do the living room socket now which is not working and have a look.
the second pic shows socket but only wire connected appears to bellwire to terminal 3 which needs to be disconnected. the socket needs connections to terminal 2&5 to work
Ok here is the living room socket which is not working, when a phone is plugged in you hear nothing.
Once again the two wires are not connected.
is that a master socket in your last pic with what looks like white and orange conencted to terminals A&B?
I am not fully understanding. So I got the Green, black which are not connected and white and orange which are in A and B.
Here are some better images from the working master socket next to the front door.
which socket is the master socket where the BT wires come in from outside? that is normally the socket where the 2 incoming wires are conencted to terminals A&B
you should only have 1 master socket
