Yahoo to BT Mail contacts lost from iphone

Had the email from BT to move from Yahoo to BT Mai. Followed the instructions. Mail came through BUT220  contacts detleted from iPhone completely. Restored phone from yesterdays backup - contacts restored but email now back to Yahoo. Deleted Yahoo account again following instructions and same again. Tried my IPAD and get the same problem.

Had to restore both again and now cannot access email  unless I lose all contacts.

You would appear to have your contacts stored on Yahoo rather than your phone. Back up your contacts onto your device or a separate folder by "exporting" them then make the changes and restore your contacts from your backed up folder by "importing" them into BTMail.

Well that’s a bit late to tell us! 

I expect my phone numbers to be separated from yahoo... can’t even begin to get my head around what’s lost 

 

 

 

This wretched switch from yahoo, which seems to of been going on for ever... is just one huge disruption after another. Pay to price for BT & don’t really expect to be confused by it all, it should just work... just cross now , sorry
