You View Box has died after 5 days? which number should I call.

Hello,

Box has totally died no lights on the front no response at all. Which no can I call to get  a replacement sent out?
It was working fine turned it off for about 10mins and went back and it was dead!

If you got it direct from BT then I'd give their support line a ring on 0800 111 4567

If you bought it from a retail store then it will be covered under their returns process.

Before that it's worth checking the fuse in the plug and that the switch on the back of the box is still on. It's often the simple things that catch us out!

Thanks for the reply, its a BT one.  I have checked power and the switch etc, what is weird is the lights on the rj45 port are lit but otherwise dead.

 

BT say 2 weeks to get an engineer out, unbelievable!

Do you get any signs of life at all? If you get the orange light on the front then it might be recoverable. First turn it all the way off, then on again and leave for a while (10 mins at least), see how that goes before we start resetting it. In low power mode it takes ages to start.
