I am not sure but if you got the email I would imagine it does. You won't get a speed increase though because your line won't support it but you should get some extra cloud storage space... if you use it.
Had the same email again today but this time it included the end of my account number and my name with every other didgit replaced with a _ so perhaps they listened to people saying was it a scam.
I too have received these emails including the one that said my speed boost is complete but upon checking there is no increase. I contacted BT and was told that they did not send the emails and that it was a scam.
so ,come on, is it a scam or dont BT customer services know about it.
At this point I don’t know if I have been scammed or not.
I have *just* checked my cloud storage and blow me it's now 1,000 Gig! Up from 500Gig - after all that rigmarole and BT finally telling me it comes into force in Jan 18... All I can say is be patient for a week or two and THEN start complaining! Many thanks to the Mods here for confirming it's not a scam!
You couldn't make it up...
Lol I finally decided to click the link but my adblocker blocked it saying the link is unsafe!
In any case what good is extra cloud storage if like me your upload speed is 'pants'. Uploading anything to the cloud is so painfully slow on my connection that any cloud storage is really quite useless.
I got the email nearly a month ago and no sign of the speed boost.
How long should it be until it happens?
Richard
The following link has been posted numerous times through this thread.
I guess it is taking them longer than originally planned, as this page has changed from "by the end of October"
to "by the mddle of November".
I just wondered how long it had taken for people who have already had the speed increase.
So the "Boost" in speed applies to Infinity only - as BT should know my details why send me an email that implies otherwise, and anyway I still am not going to proceed with the link because:
Indeed it was doubleclick that my blocker objected to.
