Hi @liamh sorry that you are having a problem with your Youview box.
Do you know what model of Youview box do you have? ie does it record, do you have UHD?
As it works ok after you reboot the box have you tried resetting your remote control? to see if this helps?

The brighter than usual light is not something I've come across before so not sure if it's important or not. Have you previously tried any reset of the box and checked the software is it up to date? It's just so we know what you have tried already and hasn't worked.

The brighter than usual red light usually means that the box has gone into a deep sleep, check your power management settings
Hi @liamh How did removing the deep sleep option form your set up go? Did it resolve the issue of having to reboot to get out of standby?
