I have found this only works on the home hub not on other wireless networks have you had any luck with other wireless networks?

Re: any news on voip for touch2/hero

Yes I have had this working on other BOZ, FON and some other personal wifi networks of friends. It will depend on the network and if it supports VOIP. Regards Ewan

Re: any news on voip for touch2/hero

Quick question for the mods.

How can this thread be considered "solved" when it does not address the Touch2 hanset?

Kind regards.

Ruairi.

Re: any news on voip for touch2/hero

I've just posted a reply on the subject of VoIP for Touch2, but to classify the issue as 'solved' is incorrect and misleading: The HTC Hero uses Android, but the Touch2 uses Windows Mobile Professional 6.5. This solution is great news for Hero users, but does not help me at all, in fact it makes me even more frustrated with BT !

Re: any news on voip for touch2/hero

Thanks "mods", nice that the solved flag is gone.

What would be even nicer is some comment as to what the future holds.

Guess that the offer of software to support the BBTA functionality that we had from the mods on the old board was a pack of lies to get us to sign up to new contracts, now that we have we can like it or lump it.  Thanks BT.  I have always supported you, I now feel royally shafted, I have the good fortune of having available fiber from a competitor so as elements of my contract expire I will migrate, sorry, BT Infility to me implies an infinitly long wait.

Kind regards.

Ruairi.

Re: any news on voip for touch2/hero

Has anyone had any problems with calls being dropped after about 12 minutes?

Definitely got this problem when we use Sipdroid on my wife's Orange Hero phone with our BT settings on International calls via a non-BT Broadband service, but I've not noticed the problem on my BT Hero (maybe I just don't talk for that long!!).

Anyone else?
