Re: bRAS profile stuck - Possible to get a reset?

Go to solution

Yes just maintain the stable connection and DLM will drop noise margin automatically

Yes sorry I saw that, I mistakenly thought it was three days.

One question, how much tolerance does the DLM have? If the line drops within those 10 days, does the day count start all over again?

Just some advice. In the future if I wanted to change the modem or adjust the db. Is it best to leave a delay, an hour for example before re-synch attempts? Really want to avoid this again.

the noise margin could reduce in 3 days but it is normally longer.  if conenction resets then your timescale starts again

I found that using the router interface to disconenct gave a 'soft' reset as against just switching off or pulling out rj11 cable.  there is no need to leave an hour delay but any manual resets I used to do about midday when noise margin normally at highest giving bit more scope for better conenction speed

Hi @fornowagain,

I gave you a quick call, I'm sorry I didn't get speaking to you.

I've carried out a profile reset and this should see your speeds return to normal. I'll check back with you on Thursday to see how you connection is preforming.

Thanks

Hi @fornowagain,

I retested your connection again today and its looking pretty good. Your sync speed is still sitting at just over 18 Mbps.

I sent you an email. If you notice and issue with your connection, drop me a reply.

Thanks
