broadband activation date delayed due to BT

We have just been advised that our broadband service will not be installed until 11th april as this is the earliest appointment for an engineer visit. Our order was originally cancelled 12+times and we have been without broadband since the 22nd February. BT have contacted me today to arrange a new appointment for the engineer to visit our home, even though when we put our order in an engineer visit was not needed and no one was informed of an engineer visiting us yesterday . Considering we recieved an email on Monday saying no engineer visit is needed I think this is not on and the services we have recieved from bt have been dreadful and now we have to wait yet another 11 days without broadband.
