broadband and wifi problems

Go to solution

For the past 3 weeks or so we've been having a lot of problems, the wifi on tablets, phones and sky just keeps dropping, our sky boxes will tell us we don't have internet, and the tablets won't connect. have done several spped test from independent sites, they give an download speed of about 6mb, but the bt speed test says its fine at about 65 mb. have tried resetting the hub, disconnecting, turning everything off nothing helps. any help would be appreciated,

thanks.

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if  HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .

enter your phone number and post results  remember to delete number   https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

have you turned of smart setup

have you split the networks as long as not sh2

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

Re: broadband and wifi problems

you have a hh6 so can split the networks which may help your wifi devices   just follow link in my previous post

I would also select the wireless channels manually and not rely on auto select
