bt infinity 1 speeds after upgrade from bt broadband.

im hoping someone can help.

i recently upgraded to bt infinity 1 from bt broadband, my activation date was 8th december and i received email to say services were active, my speed however, is still at the 17mb level not at the higher infinty speed of up to 52mb. i have connected my new smart hub and the light on it is blue but im not getting the higher fibre speed. i spoke to someone this morning and was assured that i have been upgraded to a fibre line (the chap went through engineer notes and engineer had been out to exchange  in my area on morning of the 8th to change me from copper line to fibre) aand that it can take up to 15 days for line to reach the fibre speeds.  can anyone tell me if this is a true account of what happens when you upgrade or should upgrdade fibre speeds be available from day one.

thanks in advance.

Re: bt infinity 1 speeds after upgrade from bt broadband.

The 15 day thing is complete tosh, you get your full speed at day 1.

If you have a Homehub 5 can you post the stats from 1-12 by logging onto the homehub management pages then troubleshooting > helpdesk. http://bthomehub.home/

The stats for the Home Hub 6 can be found on the Information page from then Advanced Settings -> Technical Log.

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.

Can you use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.
