Re: bt infinity 2 first few days

Go to solution

i am using a 4yr old laptop to connect to hh5 , this was never a problem with my previous 8 meg  connection and i was always between 6-8 meg so not sure if its just the recent upgrade to infinity 2 , i would have thought i would have seen better speeds in top range

The wireless kit in the laptop is most likely the limiting factor.

As I've said though, unless you're a very heavy downloader, you won't see any difference in performance from 15 to 150meg for day to day browsing/emails/gaming/streaming HD content.

Of course it wouldn't have been a problem on your 8meg connection as the connection of yout internet was nowhere near the limits of your wifi connectivity. However the opposite is now the case given your internet connection speed.
