Are you getting slowdowns with any other websites or is it just youtube?

Re: bt obviously throttling youtube speeds...

Just youtube.. My downloads are fine though my xbox live downloads at 20meg max and youtube is capped at meg.. Just seems pointless paying for a 57/15 meg service when its not using its potential

Your hardware is fine. It's probably an issue between BT's network and YT.

Yep, it does sound like it's a routing issue with youtube.

You will need to report it to BT, it's not traffic shaping, just a routing problem. Changing the dns will not help.

Changing DNS won't help as it's a capacity issue. A temporary fix would be to use a VPN. This wouldn't help your console unless your router is capable of running a VPN client (not the HH3).
