So i own my own domain name and have my email set up to use that through a third party. My email is name@domainname.co.uk
I do have BTBroadband as my ISP.
For years i have been emailing my mother on her @btinternet.com address with no issues.
Its come to light that over the last few weeks or so she has not been recieving my email.
If i switch to a hotmail address works fine but not my @domainname.co.uk address
The email logs show the email has been sent and accepted. I get no rejection/bounce emails. I'm not blocked by her account. I've been added as a safe sender yet nothing gets through.
I have not other issues with sending to anyone else and she has no issues sending to me or recieving from others. Just seems to be my email/domain.
10 days ago i emailed postmaster@btinternet.com but today i've found out i can't email my own @btinternet.com address so i've sent the email again to postmaster fro my hotmail account.
Appears my domain might be blocked at BT?? Anyway i can find out?
Regards

Unfortunately all you can do is to keep contacting the postmaster until you get a reply.
Thanks. I'm in contact with my domain handler too.
Make sure you/your domain provider have correctly set up SPF, DMARC and DKIM for your domain.
Thanks. Theya re looking at these - SPF, DMARC and DKIM . Bit above me but it's in hand.
I ran some checks at mktools
So the SPF was updated. All good yesterday.
Today no good again. Back to postmaster who wants to start with question one again even though everything is in the email.....
I have exactly the same problem that you are having.
My mother who has a @btinternet.com address and no longer receives my emails. Seems to have started 4-6 weeks ago.
It appears that BT are blocking anything from my domain name before it gets to her. If I send from a different email address (i.e. my gmail account) she gets them, so I don't think the issue is at my end, but something that BT have changed recently.
Very frustrating as their support team wont speak to me as I am not the account holder, and when my Mum calls she doesn't really understand what they are asking her to check. My domain name and email address is set up in her safe senders list, but still nothing going through and no message back to me to either to say that my email has not been delivered.
If you get anywhere with this, please let me know, and I will do the same. Would be much appreciated.
Are you compliant with message 4?
You could try getting your mother to add your address to her safe senders list if she is on the BTMail system rather than BTYahoo mail system.
Hi. The way to try to get this sorted is to email the problem (from your gmail account) to postmaster@btinternet.com.
Then be perpared to work hard. Very hard. You will be asked the same questions over and over.
Initially they blamed my SPF records. It took several emails to get enough information from them so we knew what the "issue" was. They seemed to know what the problem is but didn't want to tell me.
We did what they said and it made no difference.
Now its that the IP address of one of the servers my mail handler sometimes uses is known to be "very bad" even though it only appears on 3-4 blacklists out of ~180.
I'm caught between my mail handler getting their mail servers de-listed from spam blacklists and BT advising me why they "blackhole" my email. I don't even get the courtesy of a bounceback.
Oh and btinternet.com is the only domain that i have come across in ten years that is doing this. Even up until a few weeks ago everything was fine but now..... Noone else seems to not recieve my email.
Good luck

I am. It doesn't help because BT "blackhole" the mail before it gets to her mail boxes. Doesn't go into Spam/Junk mail or anywhere. Just never gets delivered.
