Hi,
I've been with BT internet for donkey's years and I have a btinternet.com address. I've used it forever, loads of my internet shopping accounts etc are set up with that address.
However, now the web client sends all my mail as btopenworld.com and I can't send as btinternet.com (except from my iPhone). It's been causing problems, not least that I can't unsubscribe or authenticate from newsletters and other subscriptions and authentications that require an email sent from the email address that it was signed up from.
How do I get it to send from btinternet.com?
Needless to say that BT "Technical Support" have been no help whatsoever.
Many thanks
@spaceman1964 Thanks for posting, that's a strange one and we'll need to raise this with BT Yahoo for further checks. Please use the 'contact the mods' link in my forum profile to send in your details. You can find the link by clicking on my username .
Thanks
Neil
Thanks, Neil.
How do I do that?
I got a call back from BT Tech Support yesterday and heyput me through to BTYahoo.
I say "put me through" - I sat on hold for 30 minutes and then hung up.
Best regards
Andrew

Hi. welcome to the forums.
That's strange to have the system change to have the "other" domain set as default.
Of course, you can use a mail client such as your iPhone - and is recommended to use a client rather than webmail.
Are you with BTYahoo or BTMail ? You can check here :-
http://pbtcsc.bt.motive.com/login/?workflow=EmailChecker
(though logging via webmail will show a Yahoo icon if BTYahoo).
It's possible to add the other email address version as an attached account to your main account, this can then be set as the default option in webmail - it's certainly possible via BTYahoo (well, it was years ago), not sure about BTMail.
