from your heading was the btspeedtester done wireless? is it ok if done wired?
hi it was yes i have done a few tests with various online testers and they are the same more or less, i have tried a wired test and it was not much better!
could it be a faulty hh5? i have excellent signal strength
can you run btspeedtester diagnostic test with a wired connection and post results
enter hub manager then troubleshooting then helpdesk and post stats 1-12
EDIT: Not the lastest firmware, are you using the OpenReach Modem?
Like myself, your speedtest indicates a problem with a red bar rather than green for download speed but no one here seems to know what it means!
It must be a very guarded BT secret....
The red bar is a pretty colour to show you that your connection is below the acceptable speed range for that connection.
Are you sure about that?
I get it and it thinks I am within 1mb of my maximum speed.
According to that you are below the acceptable speeds for your connection. Your speed is showing as 32.45Mbps and your acceptable range is between 33.5Mbps and 40Mbps hence the reason it shows red.
If that screen shot is the best speed you do get you are wasting your money being on Infinity 2. You are not even getting the maximum for Infinty 1.
Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results
When my Infinity 1 was installed nearly 2 years ago I used to get speeds above these limits and actual file upload and download speeds were also a lot better.
I am thinking of going back to ADSL which gave me acceptable reults but of course really slow uploads.
