changing package during Covid 19 times

My contract ends on 8 April and I want to remove some of the features on my package. BT say do not phone contact centre except in emergency, what can I do?

You should contact BT anyway to renew your minumum period if you want to avoid the price increases that apply when the period is up. You have to phone for this, and 0800 800 030 is the best number to call.

Thanks got through very quickly and saved myself £30 per month, add free calls for £5 per month (was spending at least £13 per month) and cancelled BT Sport and BT TV and got my broadband package at current price  Timing was everything as old contract expired today
