guys ive had no end of trouble with the hh3 and the useless wifi on it.
can i buy another router and use thta on a bt infinity modem?
if so is there aything specific i should look to buy, because i cant stand using the hh3 any more
the wifi just doesnt work
You can use any cable router.
I have a Buffalo WHR-G300NV2 as a wireless access point but it will also work when I get infinity.
There is 2 possible drawback, this router only has "fast" ethernet so just 10/100 Mbps so no gigabit and the wireless N is only on the 2.4 GHz part of the spectrum so it still sits with all the other wireless networks but it gives a strong wireless signal out and my wife is very happy with the wireless performance.
Good news it is as cheap as chips and I got it from the BT shop for less than £25.
Everything he said
There are better routers, but at £22 the G300 is a good cheap replacement for a hub.
I use a Billion 7800n great modem / router. You use the EWAN port to connect to the OR modem. Much stronger signal on wireless for me.
thanks for the replies guys
i purchased and fitted a netgear n750 and i got to say its fantastic diffrencce
