Hi
My wifi is ok around the house but certain places are a bit meh. couple of questions
Are the complete wifi disks any good?
is it cheaper to buy them outright and do them yourself ?
Thanks in advance
The BT Complete Wifi system consists of a smart hub 2, and one or more disks, all of which are loaned to you as part of BT Plus which is an extra addon.
I would not advise buying the discs yourself, as BT will not give any guarantees.
If you do not have a smart hub 2, there are other wireless mesh systems like the BT Whole Home system available from the BT Shop.
Alternatively you can purchase a wireless mesh system from another manufacture which will do the same thing.
Prices start at about £70 for a three disc wireless mesh. Three discs are really the minimum for a mesh system.

Thanks, I already have home hub 2 (with Halo 1) but did not want to pay the monthly extra, just wanted to know if they are any good really.
You would have to seek the opinion of other users, but to buy the discs yourself, would be expensive.
If you have the smart hub 2, and still want to buy your own discs, I would suggest buying two of them. That, in conjunction with the SH2, would create a three node mesh.
Be aware of buying secondhand, as unless the seller has purchased them retail, they belong to BT.
Also make sure they are the correct type (Black), as the white discs are not compatible with the SH2 unless you leave one of them connected to the home hub, all of the time.
