personally i think the home hub is piece of **bleep**e 1 gigabit port and its not even for the connection between hh3 and white box so thats where i think the problem

The hub has two gig e ports, one is the red infinity port and the other is labled on the back.

If you look at the videos of the speedtest he has, you can see the speed how the speed flutuates, this indicates errors on the line that the modem is trying to compinsate for.

Run a speed test on anyones line and you will see those sort of fluctuations.

Not if the line has no errors on, as I have seen many many speedtests with no fluctuations

Re: contract is 76 mbps i get 38 mbps

Also another thing to try is a test at pingtest.net and see if there is any packet loss

Re: contract is 76 mbps i get 38 mbps

Sorry I also meant to put what the jitter is. Also the results you posted indicates there is no problem beyond the cabinet as you are not getting any packet loss, so it is a problem from the modem to the cabinet.

In that case I stand by my diagnosis. You need to contact BT and get them to send a specialist team to investigate. Most likely there is a bad joint between you and the cabinet which is allowing interference on the line and crosstalk from other lines. Infinity is very prone to crosstalk from other lines.

No, most engineers do not check for that as it often takes too long for an engineer to do, that is one of the reasons why a team of engineers normally do it.
