deleting emails - bt Yahoo

I have 7000 emails on the bt server;. I normally access these via Outlook 2010 so have them on my pc. In an online help session it was suggested that deleting most of these would assit with other email problems I have (not being able to send from Outlook)

I can clog on to webmail. How can I delete a significant number at one go?

Re: deleting emails - bt Yahoo

I have my doubts that you will solve any BTYahoo email problems by deleting your saved emails from the BT server.

If you have them saved on your computer and backed up I see little point in entrusting them to BT to look after so it would be wise to delete them from a security point of view.

As far as I aware the only way you can delete them in any numbers is to go into settings and set the the display number to 200 and this will allow you to delete them in batches of 200.

Thanks

I am sure you are correct - but one thing at a time.

I did find yesterday that holding the shift key down while scrolling down the screen allow you to select larger batches to delete.
