Can you access your email account by logging onto it via a web browser and if so does your email account send and receive?
Have you tried re-starting your device?
Have you tried switching of your BT Hub for about 15 mins? Once restarted it may be connected to a different email server which will allow access.
I went back to first principles and found the logon screen using Google. I then entered user ID and password and it worked ! So I've now purged off the bookmarked page and replace with the newer one.
