email repeatedly informs me my account is either "out of date" or "needs updating". How do I do thi

My email client repeatedly informs me that my "account is out of date" or "that it needs updated".

How is this achieved simply, so that I do not get these messages?  As far as I can tell all my settings are correct and up to date.
