email stopped working on phone and ipad

Hi All,

I've seen several similar instances posted, but  2 days ago my BT email stopped working on my iphone and ipad.

I have changed nothing, but the message is "the mail server mail.btinternet.com" is not responding.

Sounds like something has changed at the BT end?

Hi,

Yes, there’s been a few posts with similar issues. I had the same problem and the resolution for me was to change the password for that email account and have been able to access successfully since then.

We suspect there’s been something done at the BT end where it’s no longer accepting your existing password hash value and changing the password updates it.

Not great as there’s no other requirement to change your password.
