Re: forwarded emails to BT address are suffering 'looping'

Based on the minimal amount of information you have supplied I would suggest that what is happening is the following(or something similar)

Let A be your domain email address.

Let B be your btinternet address.

Your domain system forwards A to B

You have set up your BTYahoo system to forward B to A.

This has caused the loop.  It is probably slightly more complicated than that but along similar lines.

I suggested you XXX out your email address in the original post.

Re: forwarded emails to BT address are suffering 'looping'

Well yes that would cause a problem if I had set A to forward to B and B to forward to A

but of course I have done no such thing, it would be a rather odd thing to do.

All my settings in BT mail are normal, no auto responder, no forward.

All emails that come addressed direct to the bt account, not forwarded from A, have no problems.

Of course the domain name people blame BT and BT said speak to Yahoo, who don't answer

Re: forwarded emails to BT address are suffering 'looping'

It is fairly certain that the cause of the problem is with your BTYahoo account.

How have you set up Spamguard ?

If possible try to send a test email when you have temporarily switched off spamguard.

If someone in your contacts list sends you an email do they get their emails returned ?

It is unlikely to be a BT or Yahoo problem.

This means that we should be able to fix this after some investigation.

After some private communication it appears that the above diagnosis was along the right lines.
