Any advice that says "easier to set up" sounds good to me.

You can install the client at anytime,you can set it up anytime.
Thunderbird is as easy to set up as any other client.
You can install as many email clients as you like and try them out.
It comes down to personal taste.
If you have BT desktop help installed it can set up Windows Live Mail for you.
Click on the big pink button for a walkthrough, with instructions and pictures for different clients.
All you need to set a client up is...
name and password, and incoming(pop3) and outgoing(smpt)addresses,
