how can I make my landline Broadband take preference over my Mobile broadband

I have a "3" broadband dongle for my laptop for when working away from home .. and also use it for texting ..

when at home, I sometimes connect it to use the text facility .

but it takes priority over the landline for internet working so using my data allowance, or if none left, although my landline is connected, I get "No internet access" when trying to connevt to the net.

Using Windows 7 on a Dell Laptop.

Re: how can I make my landline Broadband take preference over my Mobile broadband

I assume you connect to your dongle using 3 connect.  After you have texted I suggest you disconnect.  Also if using Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, Connections and ensure that "Never dial a connection" is selected. If using another browser going to Internet Options in Control panel should work. I am not all that familiar with Windows 7 but I would hope that you can do the above or something similar.
