http://bthomehub.home not loading

Go to solution

Hi,

When I try to access http://bthomehub.home it no longer loads in IE. It used to work up unitl I had someone from microsoft answer desk mess about with the setting and now it doesn't work. All other websites work.

I am using Windows 8.1. I'm assuming that something in the network settings have been changed.

Can someone tell me what the settings should be?

If I go to wifi status| properties| tcpip4 properties|

the 'obtain IP address' is set to automatic and so is 'obtain DNS server address'. Is this how it should be configured?

Welcome to this forum.

Your settings are correct.

Try this link instead http://192.168.1.254

If that fails then try a factory reset of the home hub.

I tried that 192.168.1.254 and it still doesn't work. It just hangs and doesn't do anything.

I'll try a reset of the BT homehub

It worked. I didn't do a factory reset but just a normal reset and it works now. Thanks!

I too am having the same issue however factory resets have not cured the issue. Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

All sorted. Came back from work and managed to gain access to the router. I separated both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands into separate SSIDs so can choose which to connect to. Checked other networks in the area for interference and set them both on clear channels. Speed back up to 60Mb.
