BT has recently replaced my old Home Hub 2 with a new Home Hub 4 due to problems of frequent disconnections of my laptop / tablet / mobile. Installation has succeeded in curing this problem, however having not had any problems previously, there are now buffering problems when watching iPlayer on YouView. Every few minutes there is a short freeze, which is annoying and limits its use. I have read of previous problems on this Forum with iPlayer buffering, however are there any comments on why this problem has started with the change to Home Hub 4 ?
Hi @Granger3 Sorry you are experiencing buffering on the Iplayer.

@Granger3 thanks for speaking with me today, I'll follow up with you here on Wednesday to make sure it's still working ok but if you experience any issues in the meantime post back and I'll be happy to help.
Many thanks for your follow up. The problems have significantly reduced in the last couple of days, so hopefully they were due to the new Hub stabilising. Will be in contact if the problem recurs. Much appreciate your support.
I made further checks. I spoke too soon yesterday as I found there were still problems using YouView with most programmes on BBC iPlayer, but not with the other players I switched off HD on the iPlayer which seems to have stopped the buffering problem. It is interesting to note however that I have no problems with HD broadcasts watched live on YouView, or watching iPlayer in HD on my laptop.
