it's been pretty stable for a couple of months now, at 77mb, down and 20mb up...
last few days video streaming and downloads seem slowed so ran the bt wholesale speed test.. wow, down to 22mb down and 15 up.. router stats look ok. so asked a neighbour.. they have gone slow also, but have got nowhere with BT's appalling indian call centre, they told them they will just have to accept the slow speed Why BT persist with these imcompetents is beyond me...
here's router stats..

Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information.
Please can you please provide BT Wholesale speed test results for different times of the day, including the further diagnostics page? The last test needs to be done at peak times so the results are stored on the BT server.
These must be done using a computer connected to the home hub, using an Ethernet cable.
It could be just network congestion, but its also worth seeing if your line is noisy, as that will cause errors and re-transmissions.
Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.
It sounds like a congestion problem. Have you tried the speed test at different times of the day. Try one in the morning and another in the evening during "peak" times.
Use this speed tester then scroll down the page and carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.
After you have done the "peak" time one, do not do any more speed tests because the last one will be recorded.
Get your neighbour to do the same. He doesn't need to post the results. It is just to get the results recorded.
latest is getting worse......
that last one was cat 6 wired, currently stuck at 18mb. a few people in the village are saying they've been stuck at 18 - 25mb 24/7 since a power cut (9 days ago) as my uptime shows..
BT are blaming individual pc's tablets etc... which is typical..
the fibre cab is in piddington nothants, it's at the end of my garden..
I thought it may have been an Openreach cabinet problem following the powercut but there's nothing listed. The problem must be elsewhere.
