If you are not a BT customer, as you have found out it is unlikely that BT will do anything to help you.
Premium email costs £5 per month. Even if you decide to pay for that there would be no guarantee that you would be able to recover your emails. Normally once an email account has been deleted it is gone and can not be recovered.
