When i want to switch to another email address, do i always have to log out of the email address i am already in or can i just 

hit a certain key or something else.

Welcome to the forum. Using webmail means that you have to log in separately to access multiple accounts. An email client such as Thunderbird will overcome this as well as several other issues with webmail.

It has many advantages, and is used by quite a few people on this forum. I use it for mail and the BT Forum RSS feeds.
