There is no option.....
I need a solution here, I proved that its not a pc issue. At the moment i am using a 9meg bt wifi over my 38 meg connection because the 9 meg is faster. Whilst the speed test shows that eveything is ok its clearly not.
On the wifi everything from gaming to websites works a 100%, switch over to the connection iam actually paying for and half the websites dont open or time out and up to 90% of my online games dont work and the ones that do disconnect every few min.
Also please remember so we dont go in circles here, please note everthing i have done on my side to make sure its not a issue on my pc
Reformatted and reinstalled my OS
turned off anti virus aswell as windows firewall/ parental control
connected the router directly too my pc via lan cable and disconnected any and all other devices, aswell as i turned off the wifi radio.
scanned for malware and virus's
replaced Network card
Updated all drivers
reset router to default factory settings
Set static IP on my pc and used google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (some improvment doing this)
Changed Lan cables
changed lan ports on the router
My connection for the last week now......
Who do i have to beg to fix the connection i am paying for? i have had enough. phoned tech support twice this week they say they will phone me back th eonly phone back i get is one that automated asking how the services was. WTF MUST I DO???? iam paying for a connection that has not worked for a month now
Wired i dont like wifi.......for the last two weeks though i have been connecting on bt wifi fon because it works 100% no issues with streaming gaming nothing as soon as i connect back on my connection nothing works correctly
This is th ebti wifi fon connection, Just connected to it now via my mobile phone. I tethered via the usb port. also the only way i can get a reliable connection for the last month
What happens when you connect to the normal Wifi SSID? Is it definately the BTWifi from your Hub that you are connecting to and getting a good connection? I would have ditched the Hub ages ago myself, they suck.
tried that yesterday the connection is still fooked on my wifi........also please note i bought a new tplink router for 74 pounds so i could test that it was not the bt router and i can confirm that the same problem exists on both routers, i also replaced all my lan cables\adsl phone cable over the weekend. I have gone as far as ordering wifi cards for my pc so i can connect to the bt wifi fon network without having to use my phone. I dont think this is fair that i have had to spend over a 100 pounds trouble shooting a connection that i am paying for. Please scroll up and look at all the troubleshooting steps i have taken
The Btwifi fon as i understand it is a shared network that bounces off of the bthubs (well it looks that way i could be wrong) but when you run a tracert it takes a totaly differant path then my wired connection so its a different connection to myne
The best is when they dont know what the issue is they blame the customer or just ignore you
yes my ssid has a different name and besides by default i turn off my wifi radio unless i need it.
this is my connection tracert too google.co.uk
