Re: my infinity is suffering from a slow death

Were those speed tests done using a direct Ethernet cable from the home hub, to the computer?

yes direct ethernet from pc to HH , nothing else connected via cable or wireless, have tried different ports , different cable, also tried using laptop via ethernet with simular results, like i say all was fine for the last 18 months until the drop out last wednesday

Re: my infinity is suffering from a slow death

Hi billy

You could have a fault on the line. Is the line crackly at all?

Re: my infinity is suffering from a slow death

Hi billy

OK, your profile shows that your expected rate should be up there in the late 70s'. It may be worth calling the BT helpline - I am not sure, but I think this number will get you a UK based call centre 0800 800 030

Hi billy

That is good. At least when the engineer comes out he can do a full test for you.
