Hi gdvsgeorge and welcome.

Can you try running the speed test and post your results, including the further diagnostics. I'm sure we can help you with this once we have the details.

Cheers

Re: my speed from my exchange droped from 14mb to 4 mp

what am saying the speed is leaving your exchange at 4.5mb get to my hub around 4mb

it should be leaving your exchange 15mb and getting to me around 14mb.

i can under stand if it's leaving the exchange at 14mb and getting to me at 4mb but is not.

Re: my speed from my exchange droped from 14mb to 4 mp

from that you are on adsl2/2+ and your profile is 4mb which is limiting your download speed  this could more than likley be due to conenction problemwith either line dropping or manual resets or bothe which have resulted in a lower conenction speed and higher noise margin.  if done often enough it could easily be a banded profile - but need adsl router stats to see

http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/broadband_terminology.shtml

your profile is 88.2% of conenction speed so to get higher profile you need a faster conenction speed

Re: my speed from my exchange droped from 14mb to 4 mp

so your connection speed is now 4.5mb hence the low profile and low download speed.  your connection time is <3hrs is that due to router dropping connection or manual reset?

are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

from your stats your noise margin is very high as normal about 6db and as thought before you are in a banded profile and now need to stay connected 24/7 for 3+ days and banding should release with a drop in noise margin and increase in connection speed

If still no change after 3+ days conenction time then repost the adsl stats again showing the connection time of 3 days and mods will help get you out of banding
