Ive been having problems with the speed for the past week, i have consistently received speeds of around 1meg until now.
I have a suspicion that my ip profile may be stuck, if a moderator could help that would be great.
Here's my latest stats, i have a bt business hub.
I have always had quite a high noise margin but it has never been a problem.

and heres my speed test results
1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
|Download speedachieved during the test was - 0.24 Mbps For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.05 Mbps-0.25 Mbps. Additional Information: Your DSL Connection Rate :1.28 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM) IP Profile for your line is - 0.25 Mbps|
your profile will correct itself automaitcally provided you remain connected 24/7 for 3/5 days - just no resets you profile is low due to a previously low conenction speed
try quiet line test for any line noise dial 17070 option 2 should hear nothing and best with corded phone if cordless then dull hum normal
thank you for quick reply imjolly,
iv'e tried all the usual tests of quiet line ect, as i said i've consistantely had speeds of over 1 meg previous to this week.
I've also had a solid connection for over 3 days but i will take your advice and wait a few more days to see if it improves.
you must have had problems with drops in connection and/or manual resets resulting in a lower speed and the subsequent lower profile.
with your high noise margin it would give you a faster speed if you could get that down to normal 6db
are you connected to master or preferably the test socket? do you have any extension sockets in other rooms
I'm connected to the main socket with no extensions in the house, i agree that last week there must of been some drop in connection, but everything seems stable now. I've always had quiet a high noise margin but i still managed to get good speeds for my line attenuation.
I will try and be patient and see if the 3-5 day rule will work for me.
Speed has been restored to normal, ip profile increased. Patience was all that was needed, imjolly was correct in that your ip profile does correct itself if a stable line is held for 3-5 days.
Or if your very paranoid maybe the mods read people's posts here and get it sorted on the QT, either way problem solved, thanks to imjolly for help.
glad it's fixed and your speed is back - patience was all that was needed but easier said tha done
