new connections

Have just spent 30 minutes calling Openreach regarding a new build development of 5 apartments for which I WAS considering putting in BT lines  for phone , broadband TV etc . However .......there are several questions I need answers for as in what sort of ducts should I lay when we relay the road so they can install the lines , is there a cost involved etc etc .

I managed to get a postal address where I can send my site plan but that was via a recorded message . There was  no email addresss as obviously they are a communications company and prefer post . Option 1 is a answermachine and option 4 is a connections receptionist who is permanently engaged and you don't even have the optioin to hold you just get cut off automatically , again being a telephone company they perhaps haven't got the ability to have a call waiting system . After several attempts I spoke to nobody and my only option is to post them a letter !!!!

Alternatively I could consider Virgin media , they have a new build connections department with very helpful office staff who you can talk to and you get a direct dial number for the new connections manager for your area . You can also email all you information too , so theres a thing .  Wonder who I prefer ?
