Have only had BT broadband for 24 hours and I have infinity 1 or 2 depending on who you taslk to!! So far I have had to separate channel and go to mode 2 from 1. I am a "special customer" well so the support person said as I have fibre to the premises (doesnt seem to help)
I seem to have solve the problem of loosing wifi about 5 times even though it showed blue on the smart hub by going to mode 2. However the speed this afternoon range from 5 mb to 73mb downloads and 1 to 21 uploads. Also when connected to 2.4kh channel it seems faster than the 5kh channel. is trhis the problem with mode 2?
Any help woild be great or does it need to "stabalise" itself for 10 days as was advised.

Do you have fibre to your home FTTP or FTTC which is fibre to street cab and copper to your home
FTTP will have something like this in your home
Never heard of a "special customer" before. Must be a new offshore thing to make you happy and get you off the line.
Hi imjolly yes I have FTTP surprisede as live in Cumbria in a rural area, have the box but it is slightly different as engineer said it was the new box and put the 2 boxes together.
does this help

Hi pippimcp
Think they were trying to appease me as I was moaning so much
What results do you get from a wired connection
It sounds more like a wifi problem not a connection problem. Dropping wireless won't change the colour of the hub blue light
Hi imjolly
I think yiu may be right as since I moved to mode 2 it seems to have not dropped out but the fluctuation in speed is very confusing
thnak you for taking time
the speed fluctuation is in your download speed not your connection speed? are your ethernet connection stable and good download speed
showing my stupidity but not certain ablout my ethernet connection stable or4 how to check
