nightmare with streaming!

have moved house 3 weeks ago- BB changed over no problem but since the move it is impossible for us to gt a whole minute of streaming (4od etc.) without connection breaking. some times it comes back in a few seconds but i give up it takes sooo long and its so often sometimes. we can't watch anything.


i have done the whole standard ethernet cable stuff the tech help but its not helped. the last time I spoke to them the woman said there is nothing they can do and its not worth sending engineers out as they wont be able to help Smiley Frustrated what on earth am I supposed to do?


this happened when we first moved into our last house but it righted itself after the tech help.



anyone else had this problem?? any help at all?

welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter and run  btspeedtester  (MAC users may have problems). when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post the results .

are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
