it was fluctuating last night between 8.1 and 7.8....although speed is good

its settled down to 6.9 this morning

i'll contact the mods and let you know the final outcome

What do the stats say ... it may already be using 9db from what you're saying.

Re: not getting anywhere on helpline - speed/noise reducing regularly

just to let you know that Mods have increased target SNR to 9db.  i noticed that "interleaving" has switched to "fast".

speed has only reduced to 3.08Mps (3.74 at its peak previously)

see how it goes and i'll let you know how stablity goes.

Re: not getting anywhere on helpline - speed/noise reducing regularly

Back again - - - - not getting much better.

Before i go back to mods, anyone got any thoughts?

just a quick refresh of events - i had a problem with the noise margin continually dropping to the point that speed was unbearable, and eventually line became unstable and either auto restarted the hub, or i needed to restart it as it locked up.  Mods reset to get lower speed etc but hpefully stablise the noise margin.....

On a good day i will get a BTspeedtest of 3.07Mbps.  not quite as good as the 3.7 i got before they tweaked the line....and certainly not close the the 4Mbps i got when the line was first installed in July.

its been a few weeks, and i have to reset the router about every 11 days when speed just becomes terrible.  here are the stats today....pretty much the same as every 11-12 days.  So its due a reset else it will just sit there without any change to the point of dialup style page loading.

Re: not getting anywhere on helpline - speed/noise reducing regularly

it normally comes back on about 8 to 9 immeadiatly after reset then settles down to around 6 or 7 after 24 hours.

It will gradually start creaping down after about day 8 to around 5 or 6dB

It only becomes a problem on day 10 or 11 were it will run around 3.5 - 4.5dB

currently settled at 7.6dB having been reset 14hrs ago
