only freeview

Go to solution

since signing up for bt and having my bt box  for over a month ive been unable to use it. its all connected but can only get freeview channels even tho im paying £110 per month for the full package. i keep getting error code IPC6015 .

i was also sold a bt package on the promise of a xbox as a gift and after 40 days theres been no mention of that either.

due to the current coronavirus pandemic i am happy to let the xbox slide for now as i know customer services are busy.

however i am not happy paying well over £100 a month for a package i am unable to use.

can anybody help ?

thanks

Have you connected the Youview box to your hub ? the Youview box would of included a 10 meter ethernet cable, If you're getting freeview channels it means the aerial is connected ok, your other content is delivered by internet.

Try watching BBC iPlaer or ITVplayer and 4od, they also require internet connection to work.

Hi @Billyfitzs1983

If you haven't already done so it might be worth doing a factory reset of your home hub and another ethernet port.

Try www.bt.com/help/home/faults
If that doesn't work then you might have to ring them

Re: only freeview

hi Andy thanks for suggestion

and thanks for taking time out of your day to reply

i am thankfull.

in regards to your suggestion i have already done this twice

even moving all leads and replacing them too.

its still showing as connected to broadband

still letting me access the freeview channels

with no problem.

however wont let me use bt player or access the suscription channels and shows an error message

as i currently suscribe to the vip package most should be active.

thanks
