over the last 2 days my speed has been a constant 0.13 mb/s

any help would be great not rang bt yet,  this is very slow i was getting speeds of 3 meg over last few years,

can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to show detail to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z) and run btspeedtester http://speedtester.bt.com and post the results. Someone may then be able to offer assistance

hi i did a test on speedtesterb.bt.com results below.

 

Download speedachieved during the test was - 114 Kbps
 For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 50-250 Kbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :704 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
 IP Profile for your line is - 135 Kbps

 

i tried to enter 192.168.1.254 and it takes me to bing search page????

 

what do i do now? thank you

ok its working now im in on bt home hubive got home, services, settings and trobleshooting, to choose from where and what do i do now? thanks

your connection time is only 9min have you been having connection problems with the hub resetting or have you been resetting the hub in the hope your connection will improve?  worst thing for the hub is being reset especially a few times in a short space of time.

 

are you connected to the master or test socket or somewhere else?

hi it says 9 mins as i did a reset default, i am connected to the master, its been fine for 2 years since fitted, but 2 days ago bang its down, cant watch you tube etc  was there anything else you notiched? what should i do now contact bt or wait.

does the bottom half of your master socket detach and leave the test socket behind?   If so try connecting to the test socket - do you have extension sockets in your home?  if so have you disconnected the orange bellwire from your sockets as it can act like an aerial for noise.  have you tried replacing the filter as they don't last forever?
