BT are still insisting that line is ok and that we can't have engineer out til 23rd July. unbelievable!!!

 

Am trying to speak to openreach for help

Feel I am making progress as I phoned openreach and have a reference number for fault - time will tell

openreach now going to send engineer to assess fault and make loose wires safe - but no promise of actually fixing the fault Smiley Sad

Well no progress as expected

 

Openreach have secured the wires, but don't seem to think its necessary to actually fix the problem Smiley Mad

 

BT have agreed our case is a welfare case but we are told there is a huge queue for welfare cases Smiley Frustrated

 

I am very tempted to go to press but I don't want any burglars knowing that my mum is without an alarm

 

what if she falls though and can't phone for help? Smiley Mad

Yes I have, but I have just done so again, not that I think it will do any good

 

I give up - I can't spend any more time speaking to staff in India who just keep apologising to me and saying an appointment has been made for monday - when I point out to them its next monday they have nothing to say

 

nobody cares

the mods will get the problem resolved they have a good reputation for getting problems resolved however please do not touch the wiring as you will be held responsible for any tampering with the network just let the mods deal and leave the help line alone

Due to a friend having contacts in high places fault got fixed on 17th thank goodness
