Hello, i have EXACTLY the same problem. I only switched to infinity today and for the past month, evening download speed has been slow as 3 mb/s (i have 16mb/s for the past 2 years every day). Funny thing is, upload is remaining fine.

 

Please HELP me as well!

This is brilliant I hope more join our crusade if I get anywhere at all will post here, I hope you guys will also.
It's about time they stopped selling a service which clearly isn't all its cracked up to be.
At this moment in time i get better speed on my EE mobile Internet(8mb)

The most annoying thing is that, although BT infinity only just started today for me, apparently i cannot cancel the order. It is a very big joke. If i knew this issue was going continue after my upgrade, i will NOT have upgraded.

I do believe that if you are not getting the service promised when you signed up for infinity that the contract would be in breach by bt?
I will cancel if my service doesn't perform as advertised its that simple.

What are your speeds like this evening?

 

I've been on Infinity for a couple of months now, and while I only check from time to time or if I notice something amiss, I've only had a couple of ocassions when it's been slow. 

 

Just checked at 7pm, and I get my usual 37mb download?

Did a quick check at6.15pm was getting 2mb down and 17 up this is why I cannot understand this morning over 50 tonight well. .... It's likea different connection in the evening.
I have another engineer visit next week so fingers crossed.

Engineer visit today, he replaced my router and put a white box thing underneth main router to see if it helps(he was sceptical tbh).
He said he'd been ona call not200 metres away from me with the same issue(Ok speed during day butvpoor at night) which is making him think a board is wrong at the exchange he's going to report it but said that due to cost bt wholesale ain't too keen on replacing them....Well see
