portable wifi hub thing
Hi
my internet went down last week and BT sent me one of those hubs that runs on a SIM card. They fixed my broadband before I needed to use it.
Now my brother is flying in from Japan as my older brother is dying and he will obviously have to isolate and so he is staying in a flat but it doesn't have internet.
Can I give him the BT mini wifi thing they sent me? I'm happy to pay for his usage etc just not sure if it is ok to use it like that, if not any advice welcome. My brother arrives on Wednesday and will be isolating in a flat so really needs internet sorted.
Thanks
Cat

Re: portable wifi hub thing
I may be wrong but I think it only gets activated for the duration of your broadband being faulty.

Re: portable wifi hub thing
No, the SIM card would be de-activated now your broadband fault is fixed.
BT do sell the 4G hub with a data plan https://www.bt.com/help/mobile/4g-mini-hub-with-a-data-sim-plan
