hello the external phone wiring to the house is very antiquated and in poor condition with the external sheath missing in places.
it does not obviously affect phone calls or the internet but i feel the line may fail in the near future and replacing the wiring would be benefical to my broadband.
must i wait for the line to fail before being able to get an engineer to replace the wiring?
Unless there is a fault, or its a danger to passers by, then nothing is going to be done.
You mentioned broadband, are you with BT Broadband?
what about if im preparted to pay for the work, is this possible?
or alternatively any idea what it would cost to have an extra line added to the house?
