saving sent emails

some of my emails take ages to leave me and don't get saved; others leave immediately and do get saved.  what am i doing wrong?

Are you using an e-mail client or webmail?

Hi. I am using an e-mail client, with Apple Mail.  The problem started when i switched to bt.

Is that using IMAP?

You need to create a local folder on your e-mail client, then alter the client so that it keeps a copy of the sent e-mail in that location, and not on the normal sent folder.

 

This was discussed on another thread, when i can find it.

thanks for that.  unfortunately i have no idea how to do this; so any pointers would be gratefully received! (i don't underestand why bt don't organise this properly)
