i want to be able to change my settings for when bt do their updates but i cannot find the settings they used to be a header next to mytv when bringing up the tv guide but it has been removed

The settings icon has been moved to the top right accessed via the up arrow . You're not the only one confused by that change which is actually easier than before.

You can't change when updates are done though or prevent them being done.

well i had a phone call from bt this morning about the same thing and i have been told you can go into the settings and change when updates are done

The only option you have is to try to force a manual update as there is no possible way to set when any updates are done.

This has been the case since the beginning of Youview with updates being done when your turn comes around after a software release. It can sometimes take several weeks before your unit will receive the update after it's been released.

Likewise unless you are able to prevent access to certain URLs you cannot prevent updates.
