slow broadband fast lan

hello all!!!

It's been so many days now that I am struggling to initiate my wireless broadband connection. The hub 3 is new all the cables are fine the pc is fine but still after numerous calls to BT i have a wireless speed up to 1.3 Mb and LAN speed 17.0 Mb.

The technician came and the problem was not resolved. My pc is 2 years old and they' ve suggested for me to buy an external adaptor....My broadband was working fine until a week ago using another hub 3 when **bleep** broke loose..

I don't believe its a lap top issue even though they would very much like for me to believe so.....

What I am suppose to do now....stay for ever grounded in cable?

please someone help!!!!!!!

Re: slow broadband fast lan

you can try downloading inssider2 (istumbler if MAC) and then run it. This will show the broadcasting networks round about you and their channels including your own. If you then enter your router and change your wireless channel to a free or less congested channel.

to manually select a free or less congested channel you will need to turn of the automatic selection in the HH3
