For the last 12 months we have a a very bad upload speed always starting in a 0.0 mb/s
its so bad that I can even send an email with a small picture (317Kb) attached
My last phone calls to BT resulted in them telling my my houses intenal wiring was to blame.
So since then I have had the house ripped apart, the router moved to the main incomming point and cat6 cables laid directly to my PC and guess what... its still the same
I have tried other PCs and apple devices and they have just the same issues.
Download speeds are Ok at 5.4 mb/s its just the upload.
Can anyone help??
welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and if possible run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems). when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post the results .
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
was test done wired or wireless?
wired and also gives simular results on the ipad when used through the wirless hub
need stats whenever you can manage
will do, im just stuck on the phone to BT who are not interested at all and since I have been a customer since 2008 im no longer in contract so they cannot help??
I need to get my admin password of the router first but cant see it from the phone!
They wont send an engineer, even though tech support had me replace all my equipment upto the router including the house telephone wiring system. now out of pocket and still cant send emails!
if the forum members cannot help you then the forum mods who are BT employees will provide assistance
