I have had BT infinity for about 2 months and prior to that I had regular 8MB broadband
the first fews days were great getting about 30-40MB
then the speed drops to below 1MB!!
I have an apple time capsule which is connected to the BT Homehub via ethernet for wireless printing, NAS drive, speakers and back up of my apple hardware (no windows based hardware in the home)
after numberous phonecalls to support this is what has happened:
I have searched online and cannot see any reason as the time capsule is working fine.. it has never needed any re-boot etc etc
please any advice would help
You may be suffering http://community.bt.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/BTInfinity/message-id/51544 or a variant. Also summarised in http://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity/BT-Infinity-2-Home-Hub-3-Speed-drops-to-less-that-1Mbit-Uploa...
It looks as if you will have to suffer occasional drops and reboots or similar (as in the threads) until BT fix the Hub firmware. Unlikely to be the Time Capsule.
Why are you using the Homehub at all? The Time capsule is a fully functional dual band wifi router and can completely replace the Homehub.
Thanks for that,
I have tried that. but the TC is creating a wireless signal but no internet.
If have the TC in connected to the ethernet of the HH then it is working
Am i missing somethng???
thanks for your help in advance
No.. so do i have to do a fresh setup for the TC?
and sorry but how do i do that?
i was just being a little thick!!
I do not have the BT HH3
lets see how the speed keeps up
